engage is a unique business network focusing on 50-plus consumers. It brings business leaders together to promote best practice and share expertise in the field of age-positive business. engage was set up in the first quarter of 2007 in response to the UK’s changing demographics and their implications for business. Over-50s represent 80 per cent of the country’s wealth – equivalent to almost £280 billion.
Our membership comprises blue chip organisations representing a range of consumer-facing business sectors across the global economy, including British Gas, DSG, Marks & Spencer, Microsoft, Sky, Barclays and McDonalds.
In 2009 engage launched the Age OK accreditation scheme, a consumer facing 'stamp of excellence' for use on products and services that have been independently assessed as 'age-friendly'.
