It takes 1.5 pints of oil to make a toner cartridge. By recycling cartridges for Help the Aged you will help raise funds for older people while reducing landfill and preserving resources.
How your donation can help
Help the Aged receives between 25p and £4 for each recyclable cartridge.
- £1 pays for a spyhole that helps to make older people more secure.
- £2 pays for an audio information leaflet.
- £5 pays for a pendant that a vulnerable older person wears as part of SeniorLink, our home safety scheme.
To donate and recycle an inkjet cartridge
Once you have 15 or more toner cartridges that equate to £10 in value (check the lists on the right hand side of the page), we can then arrange a free collection on your behalf. Call 020 7239 1869 (or, if you are in Northern Ireland, call 02890 230 666), or email us to request your collection.
You can also fill in an online form to request a collection on the Help the Aged website.
