Foreign currency

There is over £100 million of foreign currency currently lying around in UK homes. Your company can help us turn that unwanted currency into cash for disadvantaged older people. Help the Aged collects:

• foreign notes;
• coins of any currency; and
• old currency that is no longer in circulation.

Where to donate

Once you have coinage weighing 8kg or more, we can arrange free collection. Simply call the Recycling Hotline on 020 7239 1869 or email us and we'll organise the collection for you.

How your currency could help

Your foreign currency could be transformed into vital funds and make a difference in the following ways:

• 1kg of foreign currency could fund the printing and distribution of 156 essential information leaflets, such as 'Can you claim it?' which gives details on claiming key benefits and goes out to over 27,000 older people per year.
• 8kg could help to cover the printing and distribution of 1248 key information leaflets.
• 15kg could fund the production of 2341 crucial information guides.
